
Calspan has developed several versions of flight data analysis software over the last forty years. The latest version uses a Maximum Likelihood method to develop aerodynamic models from flight data. Calspan has utilized this Parameter Identification (PID) software for aerodynamic model development of its unique in-flight simulators and assisted in the model development of several aircraft programs. Calspan has also supplied this software to several customers, installed the software, and provided training in software usage. The PID software also has the capability to verify sensor consistency and calibration.
